Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

With a new look
Little Anointeds
In the Bible, the word Christ (with a capitol C) means Messiah or The Anointed. But if you will read into it and look at Acts 10:38,
“You know about Jesus of Nazareth and how God poured out on him the Holy Spirit and power. He went everywhere, doing good and healing all who were under the power of the Devil, for God was with him,” (Acts 10:38 Good News Translation).
Jesus was the One to be the Messiah when he was born, but he wasn’t The Anointed until God poured out on Him (baptized Him in) the Holy Spirit; that’s when He became referred to as the Christ. I did a study on this a while ago, it is published in an ebook called Christ = Anointed. You will notice that the title isn’t Christ = The Anointed, just Anointed; that is because before Jesus was anointed (baptized) He was just Jesus of Nazareth and after He was anointed He became known as Jesus Christ (The Anointed). Get my book, it should be enlightening if you will study along.

Anyway, having said all that let me say that we who actually do what Jesus did, John 14:12, should have followed suite and received the anointing (baptism) in the Holy Spirit just as Jesus did. The Bible is vary clear that this baptism is a separate transaction, you need help to misunderstand it.

In Acts 1, Luke was telling Theophilus what was Jesus started,
“Dear Theophilus, in the first volume of this book I wrote on everything that Jesus began to do and teach until the day he said good-bye to the apostles, the ones he had chosen through the Holy Spirit, and was taken up to heaven,” (Acts 1:1-2 The Message). The first volume is the book of Luke.
So, He began, He was interrupted and taken to heaven as one man; but that doesn’t mean that he can’t continue or that the job is done. No, no. In fact, in Acts 1:8 he tells us how we can continue in His steps.
“The followers asked Joshua, ‘Are You going to establish Your kingdom here on Earth now?’

“To this He answered, ‘No worries. That time is not now, and you don’t need to know when it will be. Just know this, you shall be enveloped in power once you are baptized in the Holy Spirit. This must be by your acceptance because the Father will never force anything upon anyone. But when you have this power you will witness—represent and spread the good news—of me, starting at home then spreading out,’” Acts 1:6-8 Steadfast in Honor).
They had already confessed Jesus as Lord and were born again, now they were ready to do what He did and Jesus was telling them the second step. They wanted to follow Him in the same ministry that He had started, and by taking this first step, or second step, they were being prepared for the journey.

But you and I both know of people who get the weird thought that they can do it without taking that all-important step and receiving the anointing (baptism) in the Holy Spirit some even get the wrong idea that when they confessed Jesus it was all done for them. I’m so sorry, they’ve been misled.
The key to sharing the love of God and living the love of God is to start by being baptized in the love of God. The Holy Spirit is the love of God.

So be a follower of Christ by being a little christ, or being a little anointed.
