Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

With a new look
Covenant Men
“I am a covenant man, so I’ll let God handle it.” How many times have you heard that said by those who perceived themselves to be the righteousness of God? I used to say that, until I learn a bit more. Let’s look at something that Jesus said in our covenant.
“Then he said, “Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all,” (Mark 16:15 The Message).
I do intend to use this whole passage, but I want to show you something first. Jesus commanded all those who truly believe to spread the word, and how many people who say they believe are? Later on I’ll tell you why that is.
“Whoever believes and is baptized is saved; whoever refuses to believe is damned,” (Mark 16:16 The Message).
I’m sure you have known of people who claimed to believe and were water baptized and are not going to church anymore. If you ask them they will tell you right to your face that they are saved because they were “even” water baptized. They could be lying and you wouldn’t know because they are not, still wet, and there is no other proof. Water baptism is merely an outward sign that they believe in Jesus, a sign shown to those who look on. But no amount of water will be a lasting sign that you have received and accepted God’s will and way for your life. I submit that Jesus was talking about being baptized in the Holy Spirit, there is evidence there and it is the ability to speak in tongues, tongues of God that no man can learn or understand.
“These are some of the signs that will accompany believers: They will throw out demons in my name, they will speak in new tongues. They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous (Don’t pick up the snake or ingest the poisons to tempt God). They will lay hands on the sick and make them well,” (Mark 16:17-18 The Message and The Passion Translation). I had to use them both because they both have truth but not one is 100%.
No one who is not Holy Spirit baptized does any of these things because it is really the Holy Spirit on them who does them. As He said in the first few words of Mark 16:17, these are just some of the signs that will tell others that you are Jesus’ disciple (a covenant man or woman), there are more. A friend asked me many years ago what faith is to me. Now I know what Hebrews 11:1 says, but he asked me what it means to me, personally. I told him that, to me personally, faith is a confidence. It gives me a confidence that if I do what He told me to do then I don’t have to worry about the results. Ya see, Jesus didn’t say that I had to be a miracle healer to lay hands on the sick; He said if I believed I would do it and the sick should recover. The recovery is between them and God; it’s not up to me.

Jesus is the covenant man. Do I have an amen? He is the covenant man and he is looking for people to represent Him, in essence be Him to those in need.
“Just know this, you shall be enveloped in power once you are baptized in the Holy Spirit. This must be by your acceptance because the Father will never force anything upon anyone. But when you have this power you will witness—represent and spread the good news—of me, starting at home then spreading out,” (Acts 1:8 Steadfast in Honor).
As a song the Keith Green used to sing said, “He’ll Take Care of the Rest.” So, if I do what He told me to do, either by writing or by speaking or in action, He’ll take care of the results. So, now I say, and you can say this too, “I’m a covenant man, which means I will do what He says and He’ll take care of the rest.”
