Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

With a new look
Why Do What Jesus Did?
Why lay hands on the sick, when we can simply send them to a doctor? Why cast demons out of people, when we can simply send them to a Psyc. Ward? We can pray for them and preach salvation to them. True, you can; but do you really love them? I mean, do you love them like Jesus loves them? Why do you think Jesus did those things, laid hands on the sick and drove demons out of people? Some denominational people think that He did those things to prove that He was God.
“Instead he emptied himself of his outward glory by reducing himself to the form of a lowly servant. He became human!,” (Philippians 2:7 The Passion Translation).
Jesus was a man under the Abrahamic covenant. So, why did He do those things when He didn’t have to? The answer is simple. LOVE. He did those things because God—Jesus’ God, the God He believed in and whom He copied and represented—loved those people; He created them.

Now, do you believe in Jesus—the one who has taken His place as God—and are you a representative of Him? If you do and are a representative of Him them He wants you to do the same things that He did. Do those things because you LOVE those people, people whom your God has created.

Jesus had a respect for these people that was not earned. Yes, there is an area of respect that must be earned, but there is that area, or kind, of respect that we should have toward others simply because they were created by the same God who created us. Obviously, I am talking about God creating the blueprint of all mankind, because we are born of our parents. God created plants also; actually, He created the blueprint for them and set the process in motion.
“I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father!,” (John 14:12 The Passion Translation).
“I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father!,” (John 14:12 The Passion Translation).
“I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father!,” (John 14:12 The Passion Translation).
“To His followers Jesus said, If you truly believe that I am your Lord you will love others the same ways I love them and you, and then you will obey me in the greater things also.” (W.T. paraphrase of John 14:12).
Don’t forget the next verse, John 14:13, which tells us that He will get right in there and help us to do these things. If you will decide to follow Him in doing what He did then you will never have to do it alone, He will get right in there and do it with you, if you ask Him too by using His word.

People who call themselves Christians say this so much, “I want to be more like Jesus.” If they really do want to be more like Him then they would go all the way and be baptized/anointed with the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:38) and they would be available and ready to lay hands on the sick for recovery, speak in tongues, and drive out demons in Jesus’ name.

Remember what Jesus said to those who said they love Him. John 14:12 in part command/part question. He was saying, “Do you really believe in me? If you do then you would be doing these things.”
