Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

With a new look
The Denomination Issue
“You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings?” (1Corinthians 3:3-4 New International Version).
Many people who call themselves Christians will say, “But I’m not saying that.” Then when asked they will proudly say, “I’m a Methodist,” or, “I’m a Baptist,” or, “I’m a Presbyterian,” or, “I’m Assembly of God,” the list goes on and on. And inwardly they are saying, “And we have the full truth.”

But when I went to a denominational church and brought up a point that Jesus talked about I got answers such as, “Yes, Jesus did say that, to His twelve. But that doesn’t apply to the Christian church. But I would expect you to know that because you aren’t one of us,” or “Yes, He did heal that way, but healing that way past away with the apostles,” or some other stupid answer like that. Or, when I go talk to one of those denominations about the Holy Spirit baptism,
“Now, it happened that while Apollos was away in Corinth, Paul made his way down through the mountains, came to Ephesus, and happened on some disciples there. The first thing he said was, ‘Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? Did you take God into your mind only, or did you also embrace him with your heart? Did he get inside you?’

“‘We’ve never even heard of that—a Holy Spirit? God within us?’” (Acts 19:1-2 The Message),
They will immediately proclaim that when someone confesses Jesus as Lord they are automatically baptized in the Holy Spirit. But, ya know, they can never find any verse in the Bible, any version, that will back that up. Jesus also said that one of the things that would be an evidence of a Christian is that they would speak in tongues (Mark 16:18). Some denominations will argue and say that is other languages.

I was not a cusser before I was born again and baptized in the Holy Spirit; so, what are these new languages they’re talking about? Do I have to learn French or Spanish? No, they’re not supernatural, but the tongues (languages) of the Holy Spirit are, and that’s what Jesus was talking about.

When Jesus gave the principles of healing He gave them to be a lasting ordinance; forever, in other words. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever,” (Hebrews 13:8). If Jesus is the same then His ordinances (promises, word, factual truth) is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That means if He said it you can rely on it now.

Now, I, myself, don’t care what denomination you belong to. You might even belong to a non-denominational church, that’s actually a denomination with no name. Paul was saying that denominations are not truth. Christianity is a new life made specifically for those who are Jesus’ disciples; a disciple is defined as a disciplined learner, one who does what he learns.

Many Christians, at least people who think they are Christians, think that simply because they have at one time confessed Jesus as Lord they are going to heaven. Remember the ten virgins, they represent all Christians. They were all invited to the feast but five went in and five were left. Can you figure out why? It has to do with being prepared; being prepared represents doing what Jesus said to be prepared.
