Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

With a new look
The other night I was talking with my best friend and Father, God, about how people have watered down the message of His word. In essence, He told me that it is nothing new, that it has been going on since the Law was originally given to Moses, actually back even farther to the very beginning of man. It was started by the devil, itself, when it came to Adam and Eve to get them to doubt.
“The snake was more clever than all the wild animals the Lord God had made. He asked the woman, ‘Did God really say, “You must never eat the fruit of any tree in the garden”?’” (Genesis 3:1 God’s Word Translation). This is talking about the snake that the devil entered, something like that.
God had told Adam that he was allowed to eat from all but one tree. Now, Adam was right there with the woman, as is written further on in the text (Gen. 3:6 near the end of the verse) but most people conveniently leave it out.
“The woman saw that the tree had fruit that was good to eat, nice to look at, and desirable for making someone wise. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it,” (Genesis 3:6 God’s Word Translation).
Then, when God gave Moses the Ten Commandments to give to Israel He was telling them how to keep themselves in line and be sin free. But it didn’t take them long to water that message down, screw up their own lives and be desperately in need of major renovation help from God. The funny, indeed stupid, thing is that every time God sent them someone who would help them, they persecuted him and got rid of him.

All a prophet would have to do to be locked up, banished, stoned or ousted some other way is stand up for the truth and cause such a stink that people take notice. Because when the people take notice change is bound to happen; and change is not usually easy.

When Jesus came on the scene was one of those times when Israel really needed work. First, John the baptizer came and preached a baptism for repentance and love, but was he readily accepted?
“In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.’” Matthew 3:1-2 New International Version).
Where was John? Why do you think he was out there? There are two points of view here; 1) John tried in the city but it didn’t work, or 2) God knew that he wouldn’t be accepted in the city. Anyway, John had the audacity to speak out against a sin the king was living in—a king is the one who should not be living in sin—and he was taken out of the picture. End of John.

Just before that Jesus began Him ministry, when His cousin was taken out Jesus continued. People get the idea that Jesus just went to pray, and that was it. No, I don’t think so; John was Jesus’ own cousin and the first one to even know who Jesus was/is. I believe He upped His game, so-to-speak, it’s like Jesus said to the devil, ‘So, you want to play dirty, huh. Well I can do that. But guess what; my daddy wrote the rules.’

Now, the denominational folks, you know the type; the sad people and the not fair ones, they really did not like Jesus because Jesus was getting noticed because of love. And because of this notice change was inevitable. This was all telling those denominational dudes that they were missing it and that, well, possibly they were wrong.
Eventually, they were able to get rid of Jesus, or so they thought. But Jesus had raise up followers who carried on His ministry and did the same things that Jesus did (John 14:12), they were anointed with the Holy Spirit just as He was (Acts 10:38, Acts 1:8). The prayed and spoke in unlearned tongues and showed that they were believers (Mark 16:17-18). They were Jesus wherever they went and the message—their message—spread.

But after a while it started to get watered down again. There were denominations as there always were because the devil was still there to make one group think, ‘We’re right, God loves us, and the others can go suck an egg.’ The thing with that kind of thinking is that there is no love, so they’re wrong too.

This is still going on today, so God has sent others who will not bow to denominations. I’m not saying that because someone is in a denomination that person will be cut off. Not at all. But God has sent some who do not take the word from denominational boards and then preach their message, making the word a watered-down gospel.

I wrote an article called Salad Bar Christianity which states that people are reading the word, taking what they want and letting the rest fall as not true. Another way of saying this is dissecting the word. Who authored the word of God? Well, since it is the word of God, I would say that it must have been authored by God, Himself—the Holy Spirit.

Now, if I were going to be an absolute idiot, I could go around asking people about their ‘Christian experience’ and tell them if they are truly a Christian or not. But I will not do something like that because there is no love involved. Indeed, God told me, in no uncertain terms, not to do that. It’s also not my place, I’m not the judge, and you are not either.

There are people whom God has called to being this renovation help. Many others have called them false prophets, heretics and jerks. But what does God say about them. Do they operate in love? Do you?
